Zac Brown Band 2019

The Zac Brown Band is an American country band revolving around, as their name suggests, lead vocalist and guitar player Zachary Alexander Brown. Hailing from Atlanta Georgia, it’s not unusual that young, kid-aged Zac developed a love for bluegrass music. He was given a guitar when he was eight so he could play alongside his father and brother. By high school, he was playing solo gigs in local venues and growing in local notoriety. In 2002, the official Zac Brown Band formed featuring musicians who play guitar, an upright bass, bass guitar, fiddle, ukulele, drums, mandolin, and keys. The breadth of instrumental accompaniment and respective talent has made the group a fresh breath of air to the mainstream country music genre.Read More ...

  1. The South Seizes Opportunity

Rising out of the deep south, the Zac Brown Band has been able to achieve success unique to their country music counterparts. Instead of aiming to reach the pinnacle of mainstream country music proper, they have found deep-rooted fame and fan-love through their opportunistic live shows and unlikely musical collaborations.

Even before they made it big, the band toured heavily. In 2002, they scheduled around 200 performance dates. Needless to say, their hard work paid off. Since then, the Zac Brown Band has performed the National Anthem at the 2013 BCS National Championship Game, the 2013 NFC NFL Championship game, and the 2014 NHL Winter Classic. They have also made appearances at the Hangout Music Festival, Hullabalou Music Festival, and the Bonnaroo Music Festival. They performed some of their most notable shows at Red Rocks Amphitheater in 2013, where they played three consecutive days to sold-out crowds.

Furthermore, the Zac Brown Band has collaborated with the Dave Matthews Band (opening for them during a 2010 tour), Sheryl Crow (as a guest vocalist for “Homesick”), Dave Grohl (who played drums for the bands during the CMAs), and Lil Dicky (for the single “Earth”).

    Who Knew?

Aside from collaborations with artists like Alan Jackson, Jimmy Buffet, Kid Rock, Jason Mraz, and Avicii, The Zac Brown Band has developed a handful of other ventures and projects. In 2004, Brown and his father opened a restaurant in Georgia called “Zac’s Place.” When a developer bought the institution, Brown was able to fund his band’s first official tour bus. He also owned a major stake of Z. Brown Distillery (originally known as Stillhouse Creek Distillery).

Additionally, the Zac Brown Band has had songs played on the TV show Nashville, on Animal Planet’s Treehouse Masters, and The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Since 2009, the band has earned over 55 award nominations from the Grammys, Academy of Country Music, American Music Awards, Country Music Association, and Country Music Television, and they’ve won eight of those nominations.

    Break the Mold

The Zac Brown Band offers a doorway to country and bluegrass that breaks the typical mold of such music. Fans of country and those who seek to stray away from it alike will find themselves enjoying the melodic, rocking music performed by the band. They got their start performing high quantities of live shows, and their live concerts are full of subsequent experience, thoughtfulness, and, simply, fun.
