No one has a more touching tradition during their games than the Iowa Hawkeyes. At the end of the first quarter, the team and its fans all wave at the University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital where patients and their families are watching the Hawkeyes play. But the Hawkeyes don’t just produce heart-warming moments between quarters. Their play has produced its fair share over the years as well. There was the 2005 Capital One Bowl when Drew Tate hit Warren Holloway for a 56-yard touchdown on the game’s final play to beat LSU 30-25. There was the 2008 upset of then #3 Penn State, 24-23, after Daniel Murray booted a 31-yard field goal with 1 second left.
