Summer is traditionally the time where most artists go out on tour, but we’re seeing a lot of shows that extend well into fall, the winter, and beyond, too. Avril Lavigne: September 14th – October 11th, 2019 Avril Lavigne just announced her first tour in five years in support of her latest album, Head Above Water. She’ll be visiting 15 cities, starting out in Seattle and visiting various cities throughout the U.S. This will be a short tour, but one that’s been met with much anticipation because of the long hiatus that she’s taken from the road. Lavigne burst onto the American music scene back in 2001 with the song “Sk8ter Boi,” Lavigne has a pretty big following and even toured with the immensely popular Backstreet Boys for a while several years ago. Tickets to this show will be hot items, so if you want to see Lavigne play live, then move fast and make sure that you get the tickets that you want early to avoid any future headaches. Elvis Costello: July 20th – November 26th, 2019 Elvis Costello & The Imposters will be headed out on tour throughout the summer with the 80s group Blondie. Because of the big name appeal that both groups have, this will be a huge tour, and tickets will sell out at most venues. Tour dates include stops all over the U.S., including Boston, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, and Atlanta, to name a few. Costello has been kind of a cult favorite for decades, and his live shows are some of the most exciting and energetic that you will ever see. In fact, there are rumors swirling regarding a third studio album, and this major tour could be a lead up to that happening. Hobo Johnson fans will definitely want to check out tour stops to see if there will be any dates near them, and then make sure that they have the best tickets they can get to enjoy the show. Thievery Corporation: August 6th – December 20th, 2019 Thievery Corporation is currently one of the big names in Electronic Dance Music and have gained a massive following thanks to that. The first official date is October 11th, with things kicking off in New York. Called the Babylon Falling Tour, this will be an exciting set of shows for EDM fans.  The tour will largely support last year’s Treasures from the Temple album, but will likely include newer music, too. This tour should definitely be on your fall to-do list if it isn’t already. Chris Tomlin: July 29th, 2019 – April 10th, 2020 Chris Tomlin is one of the big name in Christian Rock, and for good reason. He’s written and played more hit songs than almost anyone else in the genre for all-time. His Grammy Award winner status is a testament to this fact. Just recently, he announced that he will be going out on tour over the Christmas season, hitting up 11 cities during this time. Before the Christmas season gets underway, Tomlin will be touring to support his latest album, Holy Roar, which came out late in 2018.
