It’s an exciting time to be a music fan right now. The Grammy Awards just wrapped up and the highlights are a Who’s Who of the music world. It was an awesome night of fun, music, and the most successful professionals in the field. You probably weren’t there, but you can bet your favorite musicians were. And now is the time to make sure that you don’t miss out on the action. This is where we highlight some of the biggest announcements regarding live music from the last week. So, if you’re thinking of going out to see a show soon, you’re in the right place. The sooner you know about a concert or tour, the sooner you can get a good deal on tickets. Keep reading to see what’s new. Phish: July 14th – September 6th, 2020 Phish has gained a reputation for being one of the most entertaining bands to see live. Their energetic, freestyle nature creates a concert experience like none other. Even if you’ve seen them play a dozen times, each show is unique. It’s hard to pinpoint the exact type of music that they play. It has a definite rock feel to it, but there are also strong elements of Jazz, the blues, and bluegrass intertwined within their sound. It’s something that just about anyone can appreciate. They will be playing in cities like San Francisco, Atlanta, and more during this tour. Phish loves to play on the road, and this tour is unusually short for them. However, with 27 planned concert dates for this summer, you’re still bound to find a show near you. Check out our available tickets to see how you can get to see a Phish show (or two!) this summer. James Taylor: April 14th – July 10th, 2020 James Taylor just announced that he will be extending his previously announced tour. Taylor has an album coming out in February, and this tour is in support of that upcoming release. However, he already has one of the biggest following of fans of any living artist without needing to release new music. He put out his first album in 1968 and has sold over 100 million albums in the years since then. He was inducted into the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame in 2000. Taylor will be accompanied by Country legend Bonnie Raitt during this tour. There will also be special dates that include Jackson Browne, too. This is going to be a big show, both for long time fans of Taylor, and for those that have been following Raitt or Browne’s storied careers. If you’re a fan of either of these musicians, be sure to get tickets sooner rather than later. Tickets will be going fast, so don’t delay. Blues Traveler: March 6th – May 23rd, 2020 The 90s Rock group brought back the harmonica into mainstream music when they debuted with hits like “Hook” and “Run Around” and now Blues Traveler is back out on tour this Spring. Maybe you saw them play live at the peak of their popularity, but maybe you didn’t. Either way, this is an awesome opportunity to see this phenomenal group live on stage. This current tour includes about 20 shows and will hit up cities like Baton Rouge, Orlando, and Austin. It promises to be one of the more exciting shows of the year. You’ll need to move fast on tickets if you’re interested in this tour because they’re almost guaranteed to sell out. Check out our listings page to help yourself find the best deal possible. This is going to be one act you won’t want to miss out on. Roger Waters: July 8th – October 3rd, 2020 The former frontman of Prog Rock champions Pink Floyd is out on a solo tour this year. Roger Waters will be out on the road, hitting up more than 30 cities. This is Not a Drill tour promises to be full of both nostalgia and new sounds as Waters continues to push the boundaries of music. Las Vegas, Chicago, and New York are just a few of the big cities that he will be performing in. Waters gained notoriety back in his Floyd days for being the mastermind behind the landmark album, The Wall. Catching Pink Floyd on stage is impossible these days due to differences in musical integrity and direction amongst the former members of the band, but you can get a taste of the genius behind the band by catching singer and guitarist Roger Waters this summer. This will be an epic tour so be sure to get tickets as soon as possible. Head over to our sales page to see what’s still left. Other Artists to Watch It’s been a busy time for Meek Mill. The rapper just performed at Grammy Awards in tribute to Nipsey Hussle’s win for Best Rap Performance and is currently at the top of his game. There’s not much information on when he will be touring again, but rumors say that there’s something in the works. Shawn Mendes also had a big year. He just finished up a tour at the end of December and won a Grammy. What’s coming next from Mendes? We have no idea, but we sure are excited to find out!
